That's Magic Entertainment enthralls Lyon Library audience

A crowd of 75 children and adults were fascinated by the 'That's Magic Entertainment' special summer reading program event at Lyon County Library on July 8.
The event featured Magician Wayne Ferguson, who is a Master Illusionist who's entertaining at schools, libraries and organizational functions across Nevada.
Ferguson and his assistant Jennifer are based in Sparks; and on July 8, the audience was still enthralled and amazed at the conclusion of Ferguson's performance, as children of all sizes and ages unwittingly became special assistants in the creation of magic illusion.
This special event was a key piece of the ongoing summer reading program 'Be Creative at Your Library.' Participants are logging their reading hours in order to be eligible for instant and grand prize drawings at the end of the program. Time is running out, but those interested can still attend the children's activities and special events.

For additional information, stop by 20 Nevin Way in Yerington, or call the library at 775-463-6645.

More than 250 people gathered around dinner tables last Friday at the Incline Village Nursery School's annual Italian Family Dinner - a tradition that highlighted its director's 20 years of leadership at the school.

The real magic of the evening occurred during magician Wayne Ferguson's show, when school director Barbara Moniot was invited to the stage to participate. After putting her through her paces, Ferguson asked her to turn around.

The dark-green curtains were pulled, revealing row upon row of the school's graduates through the last 20 years, all wearing colorful mortarboards.

Moniot was greeted with giggles and grins, hugs and well wishes from students of all ages. She turned toward the crowd with a bouquet of red and yellow roses and tears glistening in her eyes.
